Localization technical support for H.F.X ultrasonic cleaning machines in the Uruguayan semiconductor industry
In the entire process of semiconductor manufacturing, the surface cleanliness of wafers and precision components directly determines the yield and long-term stability of the final product, and is an irreplaceable core process in the production process. In March 2024, the professional technical team of H.F.X made a special trip to Uruguay to complete the on-site landing of ultrasonic cleaning equipment for local top semiconductor manufacturing customers. They provided full chain localized technical services from installation and commissioning, personnel practical training to trial production acceptance, enabling the equipment to quickly enter a stable mass production state and laying a solid foundation for the customer's semiconductor production with clean technology.
Full process on-site installation and debugging, adapted to local production environment
After arriving at the customer's factory, the H.F.X engineer immediately connected with the customer's production and operation teams, completed the equipment entry planning based on the actual layout of the workshop, and synchronously completed the adaptation and docking of the electrical and exhaust systems with the power supply network. The entire debugging process covers multiple core verification steps:
1. Check the pressure stability of compressed air supply and the sealing of exhaust pipes one by one to avoid dust and waste residue during operation.
2. Calibrate the phase sequence and voltage fluctuation range of the three-phase power supply to avoid electrical failure risks from the source. Test the coordinated operation status of the temperature control system and ultrasonic cleaning module step by step to ensure that the cleaning parameters fully match the process requirements of semiconductor components.
3. Continuously run and verify under full load simulation conditions to confirm that the stability of each component of the equipment meets the design standards.
4. After the entire installation process is completed, there are no abnormal operation records of the equipment, fully meeting the hardware conditions for subsequent formal production.

Layered practical training to build independent operation and maintenance capabilities
In order to free the client team from dependence on external technical support, H.F.X engineers have customized structured practical training in stages, all of which are designed based on the operational habits of the local team in Uruguay:
1. Starting from the standardized process of starting and shutting down basic devices, correct safety details that are easily overlooked in daily operations.
2. Focus on explaining the techniques for adjusting ultrasonic power and setting cleaning parameters for different types of semiconductor workpieces to avoid component damage caused by improper operation.
3. Demonstrate the daily calibration of the automatic fluid replacement system and the compliant disposal process of waste cleaning solution, balancing production efficiency and environmental requirements.
4. Sort out the triggering reasons and quick troubleshooting methods of common alarms, so that frontline operators can handle minor faults independently in the first time.
After full hands-on training, the customer's technical team has fully mastered the independent operation and basic maintenance skills of the equipment, and can independently complete daily production tasks without remote guidance.
Complete technical documentation handover ensures worry free long-term operation
In order to provide complete support for equipment operation and maintenance in the following years, the H.F.X engineer delivered a complete set of localized technical documents to the customer, including a model list and replacement instructions for a full range of vulnerable spare parts, a complete electrical circuit schematic, and complete program backup files for the PLC and HMI systems installed on the equipment. These materials are uniformly archived and handed over to the customer's engineering department for safekeeping. Whether it is daily maintenance, component replacement, or minor process upgrades, the customer's technical personnel can directly access the corresponding materials without repeatedly contacting overseas technical teams, greatly reducing the time cost of long-term operation and maintenance.
Trial production full index verification, successfully passed customer acceptance
After the installation and training were completed, both teams jointly carried out several consecutive days of trial production verification. All testing standards strictly matched the highest process requirements of the Uruguayan semiconductor industry: they completed more than 168 hours of continuous fault free operation stability testing, and the measured average fault free working time far exceeded the industry benchmark; We have completed the verification of cleaning effectiveness for each core semiconductor product of our customers, and the cleanliness fully meets the strict standards of high-end chip manufacturing. All test items ultimately met the standards, and the equipment officially passed the customer's production acceptance, smoothly connecting to the customer's mass production line.
The landing of the Uruguay project this time is a microcosm of H.F.X's global localization technology services. H.F.X, which has been deeply involved in SMT and semiconductor fields for more than ten years, is not only exporting high-performance industrial equipment to customers around the world, but also committed to providing complete technical solutions that meet the actual needs of customers in different regions, allowing each delivered equipment to fully leverage its performance advantages and continuously empower the stable production of the local semiconductor industry.
