Implementation case of fully automatic SMT production line for LCD TV motherboard in Ecuador

Television is still an indispensable core household appliance in modern households. Even though mobile intelligent terminals occupy a large amount of users' daily time, the overall scale of the global television market is still considerable, and the production demand for corresponding core components has maintained stable growth in the long run.

The mass production of various TV products such as LCD, LED, and OLED requires high precision in the SMT process of the core motherboard. A stable fully automatic SMT production line is the basic threshold for TV manufacturing enterprises to enter this field. A complete TV is mainly composed of three parts: a display panel, a core motherboard, and a complete machine shell. The SMT production line is at the forefront of the production process and is the core infrastructure for high-precision batch manufacturing of TV motherboards.

After six months of multiple rounds of technical communication and requirement discussions, H.F.X has finally tailored a complete fully automatic SMT production line solution for the customer, which is matched with a corresponding DIP plug-in production line for PCB board plug-in soldering process. At the same time, an additional 20 meter long TV assembly line has been provided, covering the entire process requirements from core motherboard production to finished TV assembly.

In 2018, Andy, a senior overseas engineer of H.F.X, made a special trip to the customer's factory in Ecuador to provide on-site after-sales service. During a two-week period, he completed the installation, fine debugging, and full job practical training of the entire SMT equipment series. Eventually, every frontline operator of the customer was able to independently and proficiently operate the entire production line, and the new production line quickly entered a stable mass production state.

This fully automatic SMT production line, delivered to the Ecuadorian customer, is fully equipped with PCB mounting machines, fully automatic solder paste printing machines, SMT high-speed surface mount machines, reflow soldering furnaces, and multiple supporting connecting conveyors. The selection of the surface mount machine is entirely based on the accurate matching of the actual BOM component list of the customer's TV motherboard. In order to fully meet the production efficiency requirements of the motherboard, H.F.X recommended Samsung high-speed surface mount machine to the customer, which fully adapts to the production needs of multiple components and high production capacity of TV motherboards.

For the matching DIP production line, H.F.X has equipped customers with a 9-meter-long DIP manual plug-in line and a wave soldering machine. The soldering performance of this medium-sized wave soldering furnace can fully cover the soldering needs of all plug-in components on the TV motherboard, without the problem of excessive performance, greatly saving customers the comprehensive cost of equipment procurement.
